Dr. Ron Daniels is an NHS Consultant in Intensive Care, based in Birmingham, U.K. He is also Founder and Chief Executive of the UK Sepsis Trust and sits on the Executive Board of the Global Sepsis Alliance. Ron’s expertise lies in translational medicine and leadership. He leads the team driving dissemination of the Sepsis 6 treatment pathway and is part of the team responsible for much of the policy and media engagement around sepsis in the U.K. and elsewhere, including the adoption of the 2017 Resolution on Sepsis by the WHO.

HEATHERLEE BAILEY

US
Dr. Bailey is an Emergency Medicine Intensivist. She is Faculty in the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Durham VA Medical Center in North Carolina. Her career has been rooted in education, trainee development, and mentorship. Dr. Bailey serves as a Senior Oral Board Examiner for the American Board of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Bailey has been actively involved in the Society of Critical Care Medicine for more than 25 years serving in a wide variety of roles. Her expertise and dedication have earned her national recognition including, the American Medical Association’s Women’s Mentoring Award, the Dr Joseph and Rae Brown award and the Distinguished Service award both from SCCM. In 2019, Dr. Bailey’s path of volunteerism, mentorship and leadership led her to be the first Emergency Medicine trained President of SCCM. At this years Congress, Dr. Bailey was honored with the designation of Master of Critical Care Medicine.

JOSÉ GUILLERMO DOMÍNGUEZ CHERIT

Dr. Guillermo Domínguez-Cherit, MD, graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He completed his residency in internal medicine, anesthesiology, and critical care medicine at Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Médicas y Nutrición Salvador Zubirán in México City. Dr. Domínguez-Cherit is a member of the National Academy of Medicine of Mexico and the Task Force of Mass Critical Care at the American College of Chest Physicians. He serves as the deputy director of critical medicine at the same institute and is a visiting professor at national and international conferences, with numerous published investigations.
